1. Wonderful Me Said,

   I hate to admit it, but that was one of ‘our’ songs. Definately awesome words, if I could still relate to them….I have just broken up after almost 7 years - and now, I am sitting here in tears wondering what IT ALL was? My interpretation of the words has changed…… and I feel lonely and betrayed. SO many empty promises…. and I fell for it….

   Sorry… I don’t want to upset anyone, but I am only human.

   Here are my words to ‘Wonderful Tonight’…

   Wonderful Tonight - ONLY TONIGHT?

   It’s late in the evening - How can she be late ALWAYS waiting 4 him?

   She’s wondering what clothes to wear - as he always makes comments that he does not like what she wears

   She puts on her make up - She looks better without

   And brushes her long blonde hair - BUT her hair is brown - but he ‘mistakes’ her 4 a ‘dumb’ blonde

   And then she asks me
   Do I look alright
   And I say yes, you look wonderful tonight - she knows that his words are without meaning

   We go to a party - she can’t recall any party?

   And everyone turns to see - and she knows, wishing he would turn to see too

   This beautiful lady - he claims to love

   That’s walking around with me - as his best kept secret

   And then she asks me - she cares and he don’t see

   Do you feel alright - Yes she does, but she knows that he doesn’t really care

   And I say yes, I feel wonderful tonight - …and of course, HE feels wonderful tonight…

   I feel wonderful

   Because I see the love light in your eyes - HEfeels wonderful as he knows that she admires him

   And the wonder of it all
   Is that you just don’t realize
   How much I love you - she continuous to wonder if HE really does?

   It’s time to go home now - she doesn’t want to go home, as she be on her own

   And I’ve got an aching head - He always has an aching head - is it the guilt?

   So I give her the car keys - he promised she could drive his car - but what’s a promise? (well, he did say ONE day

   She helps me to bed - Yes, SHE does….

   And then I tell her - words…words…words….EMPTY words…

   As I turn out the light - HE wouldn’t just turn out the lights without getting what and when he wants it

   I say my darling, you were wonderful tonight - dream…dream…keep on dreaming

   Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight - IF ONLY HE WOULD SAY THAT TO ME
